Official transcripts must be mailed directly to Admission Services by the records office of the issuing institution. Official transcripts delivered by hand will be accepted only if they are sealed in the original envelope provided by the community college or university and bear the university seal and the signature of the registrar of the issuing institution. Please have your previous academic institutions mail your official transcripts here:

Meet with your community college transfer center

Your community college transfer center is a great resource of information to assist you in having a successful transition to ASU. They will connect you with your college academic advisor to determine your specific transfer requirements and steps.

Students who transfer to ASU can also use MyPath2ASU™, an online platform that provides step-by-step instructions on how to transfer to ASU and complete your degree requirements.

You will be able to:

  • Take transferable credits: Only take credits that will apply toward your bachelor’s degree.
  • Be guaranteed admission: Access ASU and your MyPath2ASU™ degree when you fulfill all requirements.
  • Transfer seamlessly: You will already be in the ASU system with minimal paperwork.

Save money and time: Term-by-term navigation shows which classes to take.

7

Meet with your college academic advisor

Meet with your college academic advisor to discuss your career goals, major and curriculum requirements. Your advisor can also help connect you with resources available to help you champion college. Prior to meeting with your advisor, take a moment to write down all your questions. Throughout your major, you will be able to connect with your advisor to track your progress and address any questions you might have.

8

Enroll in your classes

Enroll for all the courses you will be taking during the next semester. Your college academic advisor will provide you with a list of courses required for graduation, based on your major. As you’re probably familiar, some students prefer to complete all the required courses first and then focus on electives. Others prefer a mix. Most majors require that you complete courses in a certain order, consecutively building on your knowledge. If you have questions regarding which courses to take or in which order, consult your college academic advisor and utilize MyPath2ASU™ to assist you.

In addition to meeting with your advisor, you can also check your My ASU account for access to your Major Map or DARS report, where you can see what classes you will be taking.

9

Attend orientation

High five! You are almost done with the application process. Your final step will be attending an orientation at your ASU Local location. Your orientation will be an excellent opportunity to meet the ASU Local team — including your site director and student success coach — as well as your peers. Some of the topics covered during orientation include schedules, activities, available resources, financial aid and your ASU Local workshop schedule. You will also get a site tour to become familiar with your new university.

If you have any questions regarding your orientation, please contact asu.local@asu.edu.
